Hey Texas, we got some too!

I know that is has been a while, but 'tis the season to be BUSY! Last weekend we got over a foot of snow and David had to cancel church. Today we have gotten about 8 more inches and are expecting another foot by tomorrow night. I have shoveled twice today. It is going to be a very white Christmas, which is better than last year. Enjoy the pictures.

When did he get so smart?

Today after work I was sitting and relaxing and the kids were playing around me. Ben loves to jump on EVERYTHING, especially my couches, and was doing just that. His new thing is StarWars and he loves everything that has to do with it. He watches at least one episode every day with the Mal one as his favorite. He has 2 lightsabors, one red and one blue so that there can be a good guy and a bad guy. While he was jumping, he hit me with one of his sabors. I promply took them both away and put them on time out. When Ben complained, I reminded him that we do not hit people with the lighsabors. He then proceeded to tell me that he didn't hit me with the blue one! That boy is just too smart. I really don't know how anyone can put up with more than 1 boy.

Fall Fun

Saturday we raked the leaves and took a few pictures before bagging them up. Enjoy.

Halloween Party

We went to a church Halloween party on Saturday and here are the pictures. Rachel is Hermione, Christine a baby, Sarah an Ewok, Ben is our knight in shining armor and Cari is Violet Incredible. We had a lot of fun.

Quilt Square

I just finished a quilt square and am very excited about it. It is for a quilt for my Grandparents that my aunt is putting together. We were to make a square that represents us. I decided to do a drug theme. David and I are the bottle and the kids are various anti-depressants. Sarah is a Valium (if you have ever met Sarah, you would know why:) Mom, I will drop it in the mail ASAP.

Kids

Today Ben informed me that I was "ruining his life." Yes, he is only 3. I guess he listens to his sisters when they are sassy to me. The teenage years are going to be ugly! I gave him his "best day ever" when I let him go to his friend's house while I took Caroline in to JC Penny to get her pictures taken. She did really well and smiled and listened to direction. All her pictures turned out so cute. She wore a brown and pink dress that Marisa Hill gave her. I will try to post them when they come back. Back to laundry.

Daddy's girl

Here is Christine's new favorite place to read. She is perched on the new deck that David built in the front yard. It won't be long now until she will be moving her reading indoors.

We had Sarah's soccer party at McD last week. She received a medal for all the hard work. As her coach, I think that it is I that deserved the medal! It was fun, but lots of drama. I will be coaching Ben next year.

That's my girl!

Here's our Chubbers making a big reception in her sleep! She makes it look so easy! She must've learned football from her mama.
-David

David decided to add to the blog. That is really how Caroline fell asleep the other night. Last football season she would cry when I yelled at the TV. This year every time she sees football on she yells GO! It is great. I am teaching my girls to love college football early. I am doing a college football pick'em with some guys from the ward. After 4 weeks, I am in the lead. It is great. I love football season!

Fall

The girls decided to dress alike for the 2nd day of school. They were tired this morning, but happy to be going back. I hope that they will sleep in on Saturday to catch up on sleep. There is a picture of Ben and Cari for those who haven't seen them for a while.

So, I have been in a real funk this week. We went to the beach on Monday and got the last bit of sun that we could and then it turned cold. I found this leaf at the bus stop while waiting for Sarah to get home (She was an hour late!). I guess that I am just not ready for the summer to be over. I hope that I snap out of this soon, or it's going to be a long winter!

1st day of school

Rachel 4th grade

Christine 4th grade

Sarah 1st grade

We sent 3 cute girls off to school today. They were up early and ready by 7. The twins are crossing guards and walk to school. They have to arrive by 7:30. Sarah gets to ride the bus. A neighbor boy rides with her. The bus picks up at 7:29. It is an early morning, but then I can get a lot done during the day. Ben is already bored without the girls and it is only 10am! It is going to be a long year. Thanks to Grandma Colorado for the matching shirts!
